Free Initial Consultations: We offer free initial consultations for new clients. This is a chance for you and your child to meet with a tutor to see if they would be a good fit. We love to hear about your child’s needs, areas of strength, challenges, and coursework before officially getting started. Tutors come in prepared for the first session and are ready to get started right away.

Academic Tutoring: We offer private tutoring in a wide variety of subjects including math at all levels - elementary, middle school, algebra, geometry, algebra 2/ trig, and pre calc. We also have French and Spanish tutors, and tutors who specialize in English, writing, and history. We cover a wide age range, from elementary school to middle school to high school.

Upper-Level Tutoring: Our upper level private tutors help students prepare for college and cover all AP courses. This includes advanced classes such as AP calculus AB and BC, math physics, statistics, AP literature, AP language, AP history, and many more! Our tutors also help students prepare for exams and AP tests in these courses, teaching valuable study skills and test prep strategies. We also work with some college students, depending on the course.

Academic Coaching & Executive Functioning Skills: Many students come to The Prep Center not for a particular subject, but for all-round support. Our private tutors are highly trained when it comes to teaching executive functioning skills, and we incorporate them into all that we do. We encourage and motivate each of our students to do their best.

Students with IEPs: Many of us have experience working with students with disabilities. We are very familiar with IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) and work closely with schools and families to make sure IEP accommodations are being met.

ACT & SAT Test Prep: As with all of our tutoring, when it comes to ACT and SAT prep, we do not sell packages or use a set curriculum. All of our lessons are truly individualized - no two students will have the same lesson. We focus on specific areas for each individual student, thus helping them to rapidly improve their score. We use only real ACT & SAT tests - no replica or mock tests. Because our methods are so student-centered, we are able to help our students rapidly and dramatically improve their scores.
