Emily Brookhyser

Emily’s main strength as a tutor is supporting each student on their individual academic path. She builds a relationship with each student and family and has been working with many of her clients for years. She works with students with a wide range of unique abilities including students on the Autism Spectrum, ADHD, dyslexia, processing disorders, twice gifted, and epilepsy.
Brianna Seaman

Brianna is an engaging tutor who is strong in all STEM classes. She has experience with chemistry and biology at all levels, along with math classes at many levels. Brianna says, “my goal is to make sure my students understand the material, instead of just doing it for completion. I encourage students to reach their goals by learning effective study strategies and not giving up when they don’t understand a topic.”

From her work as a coding teacher at Stephens Elementary, to leading a German immersion summer camp, to coaching rowing, Mariana has a lot of experience with youth! Shalina Singh

Shalina comes to The Prep Center from a math tutoring center, specializing in grades 8 - 9. She says, “I loved seeing the students thrive in their own ways, and be proud of themselves and the progress they made.” Shalina has a strong background in mentorship, including experience working with teens with disabilities. When it comes to math, she can cover a wide range, from middle school to AP and IB level classes. Shalina is capable of tutoring other subjects as well, especially STEM.
Sawyer Trevillian

We are excited to welcome Sawyer to our team! He tutors for nearly any math class, in addition to physics and chemistry. Sawyer has a strong work ethic and wants to help his students develop those life long skills. He is an excellent role model and mentor for our students.

Umika is a motivated, dedicated, and experienced tutor. She started tutoring in high school, helping students who were on the brink of failing. She says it is rewarding to see students achieve what they had previously thought impossible. Umika enjoys working with students of all ages on a variety of subjects. Her hobbies include playing the violin, traveling, and trying new foods.
Justin Eggers

Justin brings a wealth of experience to our team, as he formerly taught math at a local high school. Justin currently works for a financial firm, and is pursuing his MBA in Accounting and Finance. He loves working with young people and coaching them to achieve their best. Justin has been working on test prep. with our ACT students, with excellent results. He has a deep knowledge in all areas of math and has taught everything from Algebra to AP Statistics.
Samantha Kahr

Samantha is an excellent role model for our students. As a National Merit Scholar, she is well versed in all areas of test taking and standardized test prep. Samantha enjoys helping students to learn, build their self confidence, and achieve their goals. Her greatest strength as a tutor is explaining why things work the way they do. She is able to break down difficult concepts and help students to truly understand each topic, not just memorize formulas.
Chloe Shomo

Chloe is a supportive, all-around tutor. She has experience tutoring in a variety of settings, including East High School in Madison and Badger Volunteers. Chloe says she wants to support students and help them develop important skills, especially in middle school and early high school as they become more independent in their school work. At UW Madison, Chloe is majoring in history, with certificates in math and education policy.

Josie is an outgoing and engaging tutor! She has experience as a physics teaching assistant at West High School. Josie tutors for many AP classes, and does test prep. Their schedule will fill up fast! Josie says, “my goals are to make learning accessible to anyone and to teach in a way that emphasizes concepts first for a more comprehensive understanding.”
William Haznaw

William is one of our most experienced tutors. He recently graduated from UW with his Master’s in Education! William is now teaching AP Stats. and Geometry at a local high school. In addition, William is familiar with IEPs and 504 plans. William has a passion for teaching and working with youth. He teaches his students to explore and have fun with technical subjects.
